Immaculate Deception II
Suzanne Arms

Although this is not a book specifically about cesarean and VBAC, it explores the high levels of technology used in modern hospitals and the consequences from the use of that technology. Suzanne gives a clear background as to how we have reached the point we are at today and dispels some of the myths about the benefits of high tech birth. Those with strong Christian views may feel uncomfortable in Suzanne's analysis of the impact of religion on birth practices.

What to look for in a good book on VBAC

A good VBAC book should present the research supporting VBAC as well as clearly outlining the risks in an unsensational way.

There should be no anger towards the medical profession, or judgment of those who choose cesarean. There should be a section on the possibility of a repeat cesarean so you can be fully informed of all possibilities.
